When March, a young Pit Bull at ACCT animal rescue in Philadelphia, heard that he was finally getting adopted a few weeks ago, he was over-the-moon.
But that excitement quickly turned to sadness when his adoption fell through.
After he was abandoned by his new family, March refused to leave the corner his kennel. Day in and day out he sat, heartbroken, staring at the concrete wall.
Since returning to the Philadelphia city shelter, March has “barely gotten any notice,” noted Dawn Timmeney, reporter for Fox 29 News.
“He is getting depressed and sick now…he was such a happy boy but shelter life is taking a toll on him.”
Luckily for March, after Dawn Timmeney’s Facebook post went viral late last week, a rescue organization decided to swoop in and remove him from the Philadelphia city shelter immediately.
March will most likely live in a foster home until his forever family finally arrives.
While things are looking up for March, hundreds of homeless pets still need your help.
